Suki has raised $90 million in a Series E round, Fierce Healthcare reported on 13 October. Healthier Capital, Crosslink Capital and Hercules Capital came in as new investors, joining existing backers including Venrock, Flare Capital Partners, Hedosophia, Philips Ventures and Zoom Ventures. Executives say the company has now raised more than $250 million in total.
The numbers
Suki told Fierce Healthcare that it works with more than 250 healthcare organisations and over 30 technology partners that embed its AI in their own platforms. Patient encounters supported by its tools grew by more than 190% year on year in 2026, and revenue doubled in 2025 with similar growth expected this year. No lead investor or valuation was disclosed.
As part of the deal, Aman Mahajan, a partner at Healthier Capital, joins Suki's board.
Where the money goes
The funding is earmarked for AI development, a bigger commercial organisation and a wider partner ecosystem. The stated aim is AI that works across clinical, financial and operational workflows and can improve a provider's financial performance, rather than a standalone scribe.
Healthcare Dive adds detail on the product direction. Suki already spans documentation, clinical decision support and revenue cycle operations, and now plans agents for the tasks that follow a visit, such as referrals, orders, follow-up scheduling and prior authorisations for new medications. Those agents will draw on data captured by Suki's existing tools. Partners named in the coverage include Optum, Zoom and athenahealth.
"Health systems want AI that can do more than capture a conversation." Punit Soni, CEO and Founder, Suki
A disciplined raise
Soni was open with Healthcare Dive about keeping the round tight, saying a company should raise only what it needs. Rather than signing more partners, he wants to go deeper with existing ones by giving them the features already built into the Suki app.
The bigger picture
Ambient documentation is crowded and well funded. Healthcare Dive points to Ambience Healthcare's $243 million and Abridge's $300 million raises in the prior year as rivals also pushed beyond note-taking. The direction of travel is the same across the category: vendors want to own the workflow after the note, including the revenue cycle and prior auth steps where the administrative cost sits.
What it means for hiring
- A larger commercial organisation is one of the named uses of funds, so we would expect enterprise sales, partnerships and customer success hiring to follow.
- Moving into referrals, orders and prior auth means building agents that touch payer and revenue cycle processes. Product and engineering leaders with RCM or prior auth experience look like a natural fit.
- A partner-led model with 30-plus embedded integrations rewards partner managers and solutions engineers who can work inside EHR and platform ecosystems.
